Im moving to california, and plan to homeschool my two kids there (9 and 12). What do I need to do?

We have been attending regular school in New Jersey, and will move over the summer for the start of the California school year.

Contact CAVA - The California Virtual Academy. They'll provide your children with all of their textbooks, laboratory and other items, parent handbooks, a scanner, printer, copier, and for each one of your children, a new computer.

There is no charge, because CAVA is a public school.

If you sign up now, you're supplies will probably arrive sometime in July and you can get a good handle on starting them off with the curriculum prior to the actual start of school.

I just can't say enough great things about the program - it leaves what we nowadays think of as, traditional schools in the dust, and takes us back to what actually is, traditional schooling
