Transitioning my first grader to homeschool how?

My son is in first grade, but was homeschool for kindergarden because of health issues. I have to now sit with him all day in school, he is a very bright kid, very socialable. He has a 501 Plan and recieve special services. My concern is I wanted him to attend school so he could get the same experience as any other child, but now it's getting hard being there because every week kids are coming down with Lice, pinkeye,strepthroat and it seem like he keep catching it all, when he has never had any of these. It's hard enough dealing with his illness, then to keep getting this mess is crazy. I'm thinking about homeschooling him again, but I don't work so I have no funds to participate in any homeschool club activities. Do anyone have any suggestions, please, my family is all in another state, and I'm here alone, but everyone is very concern now, that he keep getting sick.
